Designer Inspiration - Gina Rodgers - Tea..

Hi everyone, hope you're enjoying the long weekend if you're in Australia! I'm sharing my fist layout using the current Cupcake Kit.. It was exciting to see the bottle of Distress Stain in this kit, having not worked with this medium before I was keen to experiment!

To make the background I roughly smeared and scraped some white gesso onto the cardstock with a palette knife and let it dry. Next I dabbed the distress ink 2-3 times on each section of gesso, then rubbed it around with a piece of paper towel..the coverage of the stain is really effective and it gets into scratches and indents better than paint..

More colours have been added in using glimmer mists and gelatos and to finish, a splattering of black ink..
