Designer Inspo ... Natalie May

 Happy Sunday Peeps ...

Today I have created a page using the May Main kit.

I love this paper and knew straight away that I had to use it as a full piece.

This photo is of me and my 'big sister' who I had a chance to catch up with during my chemo - Sharon and I grew up together and like the title says .. she's just like family to me.

Rather than adding another paper to the layout, I used gesso to create a square background element, added some stitching and worked from there.

There are a couple of pieces of subtle transparency in there as well as the cool frames from the sticker set in the kit

Designer Inspiration - Gina Rodgers - Celebrate..

Happy Friday everyone! I'm back with another layout using the May Cupcake kit, which is still available and currently 50% off!.. I've scrapped this page of my eldest daughter who recently turned 18 (yep..still coming to terms with having another adult in the house!) I've tried to make this page bright and fun, in keeping with the celebration theme and replicated some of the colours from the 6x6 papers in the background, which is a mixture of painted and splattered mists and gelatos..

the cute "cheers"wood veneer is from the "Happy New Year 2014" set and cherry flair from the "You're Just My Type" set.. I've also used a couple of buttons from my stash and the green alpha stickers are left over from the March Cupcake kit..

the heart veneer is part of the Insta-Lovin' set..

Bye for now,

Plus we are also having our biggest sale ever! Visit the store tonight to see what specials are available :)

Chevron, wire and bright colours!

Hi again everyone!
Here is another bright layout using this month's cupcake kit.

This layout was totally inspired by this awesome piece of paper in the kit! I knew straight away that I wanted to cut out the chevrons and use as the main focus of my layout!!!

I used mists in the same colours and as always added some stamping and sewing to create interest.

Once I had sewn the black circle with my sewing machine I added a circle from the yellow wire to frame my photos. I also once agin loved using the sticker words on the Echo park sticker sheet and just added some of my own rub ons and alphas to create a different look from my previous layouts.

Until next time ,happy creating! Eb xx

Designer Inspiration - Lisa Pate - the little bits

Hello Everyone!!

Back again with another layout share using supplies from May's Full Kit.  Which was FULL to the brim with lots and lots of lovely little embellishments and details.

I have been lucky enough to be away all weekend at a creative retreat, and took my kit with me.  I started with a fun background that I sprayed with mist and then doodled shapes and lines over the spray.

Then I just couldn't find the perfect photo!!  Wanting to finish the layout anyway, I ended up creating the layout WITHOUT the photo.  I simply grouped lots of little embellishments to each side and left plenty of space to add the photo later.

Once home, I added both the wood veneer and my photo.

I love how it turned out.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Designer Inspo ..... Natalie May

Happy Sunday Peeps!

So the colours in the May Main Kit inspired me to get my Gelatos and Dylusions out and get a little arty this week!

Have to say .... I'm more than LOVING the outcome!

Using a combination of stamps, I created a background that I coloured using my Gelatos, Dylusions Mists and some water.

The strips of paper were hand cut in strips and sewn onto three sides along with the washi tape included in the kit.

I added some of the sequins around my photo and used a Cameo cut title to finish.

I love the little touch that the Studio Calico Tiny Type Stickers added too!

So head over to the website and sign up NOW for the kit for next month .... You totally dont want to miss out!

Have a great week

Natalie May

Designer Inspiration - Gina Rodgers - Today..

Hi everyone. I'm back with another layout using the May Cupcake kit.. I've had some fun creating the background on this one using gesso, the distress stain in the kit, gelatos and a white pen..
I've added a simple top border using 2 pieces of the 6x6 paper, stapled together and also added a layered frame under the photo..

today..

The cherry flair is part of the sweet sunset pack and the stickers are from the Echo Park sticker and alpha sheet..

I've also used a few buttons from my stash, sequins and added some stamping and black ink splatter..

Thanks for looking and wishing you a happy weekend ahead!

Girly Fun....

Hi again everyone,
I have another layout to share using this month's cupcake kit.

This time I have used different sized strips of the various papers to create my background. I then used Faber Castell gelatos over them to highlight and give an arty feel.

I have also sewed over parts of my page and used a text stamp over the top of my papers.

I have used more of the papers as circles and other shapes. All the stickers are from the Echo Park sticker sheet including the title.

Thanks for popping by, Eb xx

Designer Inspiration - Lisa Pate

Hello Everyone!!

How was your weekend??  I hope it was a good one.  Mine was pretty chaotic, we had lots of fun running kids to events and parties so not much time at my craft desk.

One of the things I love about the APOCD kits, it that they allow you to pull a layout together super quick because all the matching of product has been done for you.  So even in the crazy that was my weekend I was able to have a little time creating a fun layout of my daughters 14th Birthday Party.

Keeping the design simple helped to pull this together in UNDER 20 mins!!!  I simply layered strips of the patterned paper provided in the kit, added the embellishments and my photo.  My daughter LOVED it and I think it will be displayed in her room.

Have a wonderful week everyone,

Lisa
