Designer Inspiration - Lisa Pate - Cutting it up

Hello Everyone!!

Happy to be back sharing another layout.  This month I received the gorgeous March Kit.  It's full to the brim of beautiful colour and lovely patterns.

I couln't wait to get started.  I pulled it all out and the black cardstock was calling my name.  I don't usually use black so it was fun to use something a little different.  After creating my background using gesso and thick embossing powder, I didn't want to cover it all up.  So what's a girl to do??

CUT IT UP!!!

I took my scissors and cut into the papers and the stickers, took what I wanted a left the rest behind for another day.  I grabbed little snippets of colour and design and added them in.  Then stitched it all together.

Hopefully I've inspiraed you think outside the square a little and start chopping into your papers and embellishments.

Right Now ... Natalie May

 Happy Sunday to you all.

I'm sharing another easy page today using a little Cherry Flair!

I love this set - has to be one of the most versatile sets as it
covers so many occasions and events.

I got my hands on some new Heidi Swapp Hello Today ephemera and ink
and used the bits and pieces to frame this Instagram photo taken
of us at the Hunters & Collectors concert last month.

Well that's it from me today - short sharp & shiny!

Have a great week
Natalie

Designer - Gina Rodgers - OXO

Hi everyone, I'm back today with a layout created with the cool new March Cupcake kit! As soon as I saw the Teresa Collins stencil set I knew it was going to be fun! I've used the heart stencil and sprayed onto the front with an aqua and turquoise mist then printed it in a few places to make the background.. I've also splattered some ink and the purple Twinkling H2O around the page..

I've added in lots of layers using the 6x6 papers, stickers, washi and cherry flair..

the wood veneer is part of the Insta Lovin set

and here's another look at the Cupcake kit..get yours while it lasts!

Happy scrapping!

Wooden Veneers

Hi everyone!
Just a short post to give you some inspiration for using the exclusively designed wooden veneers.
This layout showcases the back to school set of veneers!

I like to keep my veneers in their raw form but I have also inked the date veneer with ink to match my colour scheme. These frames and wooden veneer pieces are so versatile an compliment pages so well!!!
I recycled the black letters from my daughters school pencil case!!
Thanks for popping by , Ebony x

Designer - Gina Rodgers - today..

Hi there, I'm up today with  my 4th project using the (now sold out) February Main Cake kit. The Elle's Studio Happy New Year paper makes a great backdrop while showing the month, and I've added some cute wood veneers and Basic Grey Fresh Cut die cuts..

I've also used a cherry flair from the Blooming Lovely set.

Although it was very hard to do, I've restrained myself with mists and gone for a minimalist few grey splatters, which helps to let the gorgeous colours in the kits products stand alone..

I'll be back again in a couple of days with another layout but until then...
Happy scrapping!

Designer Inspiration - Lisa Pate - Instagram Love

Are you an instagram addict like me? Yes? There is something cool about grabbing your phone from your bag and snapping an everyday moment.

I was super happy to see the fabulous new and exclusive Insta-Loving wood Veneer.

I quickly made myself a lovely messy inky background and grabbed my February Cupcake Kit (yes I STILL have kit left!) and put together a layout.

Hope you find some time to create this week.

Kit Loving ... Natalie May

Happy Sunday!!!!

Today I'm sharing a couple of pages I created using the February Main kit.

LOVED playing with this kit - has so many options ...

This first one is nice and simple ... I used the gorg papers and also a
couple of die cuts from the Basic Grey pack.

I added in some vellum from my stash and some super messy machine stitching!

The Daily Flash Alpha sheet was perfectly colour coordinated!

This next page is another one that is relativity simple in design but I used the Basic Grey Die Cuts to create some pretty major interest! The papers, wood stars and sequins are straight from the Main kit.

I love the combination of acetate and cardstock in the pack - so easy to work with

I used Cherry Flair from two different sets for this page

And one from Blooming Lovely

So thanks for stopping by
Have a great week
Natalie

Butterfly Canvas

Above is a link to a youtube clip created by the very talented Christy Tomlinson. It is this video that inspired me to create my own butterfly canvas using last months cupcake kit.

I used scraps and leftover papers from this kit to start my canvas and I obviously have used a lot of my own mediums to create this canvas but the papers and MAMBI stickers were perfect to use on such a project!

I won't provide step by step instructions as you can watch the video for yourself! Have fun!
