Designer Inspiration - Lisa Pate

Hello Everyone !!

Can I just say how glad I am to be back in this space?? anyone who has ever had to move house will understand how time consuming and tiring it is.  And lets not forget the nightmare of trying to make sure you have a working internet connection.  We are still working on that!!

So I have had the lovely June Kit for a few weeks now, I had created some backgrounds and was waiting for some time and the right photo's.... fast forward to this weekend while we were re-stacking boxes in the new garage only to discover that three boxes which had housed my oldest scrapbooks for 6 months were WET ... and MOLDY and not at all salvageable.  It was a pretty sad moment I tell you.

I pulled all those pages out, and popped them into a crate and one by one I am cutting the photo's that can be saved off the wet and ruined layout and starting again.  Yes it's a huge job, but it's kind of fun making new layouts from old ones.

So onto the layout!!! I've done my usual messy collage style, but for the background used the gorgeous Lindy's Stamp Gang Spray that was provided in the kit (plus another I already had in my stash).  These sprays are all kind of lovely to work with ... and the are PERMANENT !!  yep, that's right they do not run together and turn brown.  Plus they layer so well over dark coloured cardstock.

 So much fun.

I hope you never ever have to find your scrapbooks ruined like I did.  So please if you do have your scrapbooks stored out of sight, check them :)

Designer Inspo ... Natalie May

 Happy Sunday peeps....

Although the June main is quite feminine and girly, I decided this week to create a grungy masculine page - slightly soppy too! LOL

Using the Alphas as inspiration, I found the perfect quote from Pinterest to go with my photo and made a start on laying out the words.

I didn't have enough letters to complete it but by trimming down a couple of letters and adding in some Thickers and Heidi Swapp alphas from my stash, I came up with a solution that looks OK and is effective.

Thanks for stopping by ...
Have a great day

Natalie

Designer Inspiration - Gina Rodgers - Be Happy..

Happy Friday all, today I'm sharing a fun and quick page using the current main kit..

I've created an arty background by spraying the (double thickness) white card stock with a mist of water then spraying a pink and yellow mist over that.. and let it drip downwards..

be happy,,

a few layers of patterned paper behind the photo and I've cut out the phrases from the Chic Tags 'celebrate' paper.. to finish, I've embellished with glitter dots, sequins and chic tags acetate die-cuts..

the cherry flair is an easy way to incorporate a title too!

Thanks for looking

Another to share..

Hi everyone,
I have another layout to share with you today using the latest CUPCAKE KIT.

This one is another bright one using lots of scraps of papers, the mask and stickers....

I have used some white cardstock and created a background with some watercolour paints and some machine stitching.
I then used strips of the various papers and a tag from the kit.To highlight the papers and give an arty feel I have gone over them with Faber castell gelatos.

A favourite in this kit were the stickers! I love using word stickers on my layouts just like here.

I have added interest with lots of stamping and some doodling with a mask.
You can also see above that I have used the Dina Wakely mask again with the Lindy's Stamp Gang mist.

Thanks for looking, happy creating , Eb x

Happy Sunday peeps!

The June Main kit has the cutest little acetate tags and embellishments from Chic Tags.

They were the perfect embellishment to compliment these papers.
Super easy to use and look great on a page!

Have a great weekend!

Hi everyone, I'm back with another layout using the current main kit..I've created a soft watercolour background to compliment the gorgeous Heidi Swapp 'choose happy' paper..

I've embellished with the chic tags acetate die cuts, sequins and gold glitter dots and the cherry flair is from a previously released set..

I've also cut a little strip of the 'small stars' wood veneer card and added it to the corner border along with a button from my stash..

She loves to read and tell a story too:)

Hi again everyone,
I am back to share another layout using the June Cupcake kit.

This layout is a photo of my daughter who LOVES
to read!! She is also a great, animated story teller and I really
wanted to document this aspect of her life.
Often when we go shopping and if she has some pocket money , more
often than not she goes straight for the book sections
in the stores.

I have like the last layout,
used a tag from the kit to highlight and frame my
Instagram photo.
I have used lots of different strips of the papers,
as well as the sticker sheet in the kit.
I have added some of my own washi tapes and a past kit flair.

I LOVE this mask so I used a yellow Faber Castell
gelato to add these words to my page.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you are enjoying your kit , Eb x
