Digi Saturday - Project Life - Felicity Wilson

Just popping by today to share with you a couple of Project life spreads. After seeing what Jodie did with the printable in her project life in this post,  I had to do a few too.

What was even better with the main kit from January had some awesome little cards I just cut out and used in my spread too.

I think you will see lots more printable in my project life.

Happy Weekend.

Friday Favorites: Card with a difference - Felicity Wilson

I spent a little date with my studio today.
I created something different, something fun and something cute.

I created a super cute little card. Not the same folded card you buy at the shops, but one filled with layers and cuteness using the left over scraps and embellishments from the APOCD January Main kit.

The words in the embellishement pack make create little 'add-ons' in the card.

I added in the piece of transparency that has the cut out triangles from my previous page.
This is a little place to add your personalised message for the special person.

Hope you little my little card/ mini album for a special someone.

Happy Weekend! XO

FRIDAY FAVOURITES: Anna Allan; Big Smile!

I sure do have a big smile on my face using this kit!
I love EVERYTHING in this kit. My favourite part is the colours!
I just love the teal, pink, and pops of navy. It just looks so fun and happy!
Here is a layout I have created using the January Main Cake Kit...

I just adore the papers in this kit  - I used the Dear Lizzy 'Serendipity' range of papers for this layout.
And you can never go wrong with an ephemera pack - love all the bits and pieces you can choose from to add that extra pizzazz to the page.

The only thing I added that's not in the kit, is the addition of some gold Heidi Swapp colour shine to add ink splatters -- cos you know I love them ink splatters! hehe
I've gone with a page design that involves a large amount of blank space  and then a concentrated area of detail. A good amount of layering and embellishments that add some dimension.
And I've used one of my favourite photos for this year so far - one of my little girl and some new year goofing off ;-)

Thanks for dropping by.

Thoughtful Thursday ... with Natalie May

My best friends daughter had a birthday on Australia Day
and I needed a quick and easy little gift tag to attach to her gift.

Looking through my stash, I decided to use one of
the APOCD Exclusive Wood Veneers for the tag  ...
these are super cute and only .75cents each in store!

I had a few little extras left over from my
November Cupcake kit (which is now down to $13.97) too so
I used the flower die cuts from the Heidi Swapp Ephemera along
with a couple of circle digi cuts left over from Teen Embellishments Cut Files and Brushes - Set 2

The Flair from the Mr & Mrs Chalk set finished it off nicely!

Hope your day is going great!

January Releases Guest Designer - Jodie King

Hello everyone,

Raquel here with a quick post to introduce you to a Guest Designer we have working with our Cupcake kit in January.

I'd love to welcome Jodie King to our blog this January/February. Jodie has been creating with this lovely Cupcake kit.

I was drawn to Jodie's gorgeous layered style through her work on the Papercut Labs. You can visit Jodie's blog here to see some of her gorgeous creations

Here is a bit about Jodie in her own words:

My name is Jodie King and I live on Queensland's beautiful Sunshine Coast. I’ve been scrapbooking for 6 years, and love to create project life spreads, traditional layouts and cards. I’m a bit of an eclectic scrapper, and often switch between clean and simple layouts and something with more texture. Aside from being a scrapbooker I’m a mum to two awesome almost grown kids and loving life with my hubby of 20 years.

Thanks for visiting the blog today, stay tuned for a post from Nat May tomorrow and creations from our design team and guest Jodie :)

Messy Monday - sweetest people - Felicity Wilson

 Hello APOCD fans!
Happy Australia Day!
I hope your all enjoying this long weekend.

I snuck in some scrapping the last couple days. I  have been playing with the January Main kit. This kit would have to be my favourite!!! So much so that I didn't want to cut up any the papers or use any of the embellishments.. tee hee... but I did eventually.

Now excuse this pregnancy brain... I meant to take a photo of the background I create, but I f o r g o t ! ! !
I created this with lots of watercolours, some stamps which I then used water colour paints to colour them and a couple of Heidi swap Colour shine sprays and Shimmerz.

Then I layed lots of those fabulous Dear Lizzy embellishments. They are so cute!!

{sweetest people}

Cant wait to share another project soon with this awesome kit.

Happy creating!! XO

STORE NEWS SUNDAY - January Releases and a Project Life Share

Hello everyone!

Welcome to todays Store News Sunday post. Today I have two reasons for posting; one is to share with you about the awesome things happening in the APOCD store, and the second is to share an AMAZING Project Life spread by the lovely and talented Jodie from Polka Dot Creative

Firstly, our January Main Kit sold out super quick so unfortunately that is no longer available. We still have a couple of these cupcake kits left though. Let me tell you there is SO MUCH value in this bitty kit; the double scoop gelatos, the whole die cut pack, heaps of papers and so much more!

You can snag one up here

This month we also have the most amazing cut file sets, I am just totally loving them!

The following are designed by Jodie from Polka Dot Creative. If you keep reading this post you will also see some gorgeous pages she has created by using the brush files (.abr files) available when purchasing.

This one is perfect for any celebrations that you may have, new year, birthdays, weddings, Australia day, etc.

That wine glass! So adorable x

A set just for Australia Day, I am picturing these as brushes on photos, they would just look amazing.

And finally, Hello 2015, a set perfect for your title page, new years pages and more!

We also have two releases from the talented Rachel Hodge. These sets were created with a Back to School theme in mind. I just love the elements Rachel has managed to include, the pencils and stars are a personal fave!

This set can be used to create Project Life cards for your album, or you could even use them on a traditional page, mini album etc. Did you see Nat's awesome post using these yesterday?

Before I leave today I wanted to finish up with a layout share from Jodie, using the designs that she scripted on her pages.

Looks like she had a little help to photograph!

On this particular page she has used the Hello 2015 brush script files and the Clink Click set.

Here is a better view of the scripted files :) The black and white and pops of colour from the photos really makes this layout stand out!

And some super detailed shots:

My personal fave; cheers! x

Awesome hey! These files and more can be found in our store www.apieceofcakedesigns.com.au

Thanks for visiting, I hope everyone is having a beautiful weekend.
