Hi, I live in the Huon Valley in southern Tasmania with my partner Mark and our two teenage girls Rhiannon and Jem. I’ve been scrapping and making cards for about 6 years and also enjoy art journaling and often using these techniques on my scrap pages. My girls are the main inspiration for my pages as well as nature and everyday life. I’m a design team member at Citrus Twist and Kraft it Up and also an Jenni Bowlin Studio Ambassador. I’m very excited to be guest designing this month at APOCD!

Our international guest who will be working with our Cherry Flair is the lovely Loredana Bucaria. I was fortunate to meet this bubbly lady when hubby and I were doing the travelling thing in 2008-2009. I attended one of the most organised scrappy events I have been too, PACS Italy, which Lory helps to organise. Will have to dig up some photos over the coming month ....

Hello everyone ,
I’m Lory and I come from Italy!
I knew scrapbooking in 2003 thanks a friend and a little journey in a Funfair Park where I was actracted by a scrapbooking book full of colors and of die cuts ! Since then I made a long internet research about this hobby and Iwas really lucky to discover a new wonderful world !
Since then my life is changed ! Scrapbooking is become my lifestyle, it helped me in bad moments, like my dad’s death, I met new good friends around the world by internet , all thanks to scrapbooking.
I love scrapbooking because it makes me happy, free, with the scrapbooking I forget all the ordinary worries, all the bad thoughts and only the page, the photos, the story about the photo exist ! I loves to be sitted down on my chair ,close to door of my scraproom and be in my scrapbook space with music in background to scrapbook her pages full of colors, of several and sometimes unusually materials. All for fun and for relaxing ! I have a big dream : to can teach around the world, it should change my life, I’d do what I really want to do! In Italy I have organized an international convention of scrapbooking and mixed media for three years (2008-2010) knowing the most famopus scrapbookers and enjoying so much everything!It was a dream came true! I am solar, joyful, full of things to do but I love my everyday life even if something is not like I would.I’ve got married with the love of my life and now I have a new so cute home that I improve day by day.I love my life even if I am not a Hollywood star!LOL

Exclusive products!

Hi everyone!
I have to admit I was a bit excited to see these as new exclusive products for A piece of cake designs!!!!

I just had to use them straight away!!!!! So here is a layout using both of these!

I used my mask to doodle the shapes over a misted background! And I must say I love the SEI tumble dye spray!! Awesome colour as you can see here. I removed the nozzle from the bottle and used the tip of it like a pen to scribble on my background!

I have also used the polaroid frame and some of the cute embellishment stickers from the kit. The sticker sheets are so easy and versatile and make embellishing nice and easy!!


I also have this one to share but I apologise for the poor photo quality. I tried and tried to get a better photo but I just couldn't :( . I find that sometimes this happens because I wet my paper to use watercolours etc and then it tends to crinkle a little making shadows when I photograph it.

I began by machine stiching on my page and then I spritzed with water. I then used drops of theTumble dye spray and a pink watercolour paint to create my watercoloured effect background.
I loved this flower sticker in the kit so I used this as my main embellishment along with another gorgeous "cherry flair". I added in some doodle leaves and some doodles from the stencil again along with some sequins from this kit and past kits. The embellishments in the "cupcake kit" made it easy to create a simple but effective page!

SPECIAL GUEST - Magda Mizera - A cup of magic

Today I am here to share a layout from our special guest Magda. I love that she created this just for fun for us and let me tell you, it is gorgeous!

Madga has used our Sweet Love set, which has certainly grown in popularity again in the last couple of months :)

GUEST DESIGNER - Sharmaine Kruijver - Loving Your Trampoline

Today I am here to share the last layout from our guest Sharmaine Kruijver. Sharmaine sure did get busy with last months kit....and a last share means it must be getting close to reveal time for November's releases!

Here is what she had to say:

I love that there was a piece of black cardstock in the kit. I love using black as my background! For this page I’ve used some of the scraps that I’ve created (love being able to say that, as well as do that!!). I’ve also coloured the alpha stickers black, to fit the colours on my page.

Love that cluster of thread under the flair! The transparent stickers were a part of the kit too.

I love how Sharmaine has coloured in the alpha stickers to match her layout, what a nifty idea!

My little gardener....

Hi everyone. First I need to apologise for being MIA. I have had gastro twice this month and then day surgery so sadly I haven't been very creative with the latest kit. But I have got some to share with you now and today I will start with this one!

I have created this layout using the "cupcake kit". 

I loved the papers with the frames on it in the kit and cut out three of them for this layout plus a gorgeous cluster of flowers! Yep I actually did some fussy cutting! LOL!

I used some more papers that I have torn into thin strips and added them with some of the cute embellishment stickers to my background of mists and stitching. 

I cut the top from the manilla tag and also used the aqua tag from the kit to add layers behind my small photos.

I also used one of the awesome "cherry flairs" and added in some of my own enamel dots and a little bit of washi tape. I cut the butterflies out of a piece of tissue paper that I bought a discount store!

Well I will be back with more real soon!!!
