Hi A Piece of Cake Lovelies!

Hope you've all had a fabulous week!

I am still totally diving in to my July Main Cake Kit....

I know - so many paper pretties in this kit!

And that's where today's page came from -
It's a simply because the papers are so pretty I had to use them page! Lol!
Here it tis...

"Best Day Ever"

Naww... such a beautiful moment! Hello Best Day Ever indeed!
Told you those papers were pretty!
I've used the Crate Paper Inc Confetti paper, and combined it with the Simple Stories So Fancy stickers, those amazing Jen Hadfield puffy stickers, and a few scattered sequins.
A fairly simple page design - but with these gorgeous products you don't need much to make your layout complete.
Love it!

Let's take a closer look.....

Yep. That be pretty paper - LOVE!!!
And those stickers are really awesome too....

Aren't they divine?!!
But if I have to pick a favourite it would be that floral bouquet - it just compliments that paper perfectly!
Oh, and I am sucker for those black puffy stickers too tho!

Isn't that black heart the coolest?!
SO many pretty things in the July Kit - making it my Friday Favourite!

Hope you liked my layout, & that I've inspired you to dive into your kits a lil more ;)

Have an Awesome Weekend!

Designer Inspiration - Lisa Pate. Get your layers on.

Hello Again!!

Another share for me today.  Have you ever gotten to the end of one of our kits and looked at what you have left and wondered what to do with all the bits??? Well my fellow creative it's time to layer all those pretties up and creative a layout.

I love to use EVERYTHING in the kits, even the tag that the washi tape comes on.  And why wouldn't you? everything is always so very pretty.

Layering is how this layout was created.  I didn't even have my photo organised.  Just started putting papers on top of eachother, stapling them together as I went.

If you are anything like me, straight lines are not really your strong point .... so I tend to layer my papers on slight angles and then once I have finished only the photo is placed on straight :)  Pretty tricky right? This *technique* if you could call it that will also pull the focus straight to your photo..

As you can see I have three big kids, two teens and one almost teen.  The best hint I can give you when taking photo's is just let them be silly..... I tend to always love the out takes the best, I love how it shows them having fun together ... and I usually end up with one or two *nice* photo's as well.

Thanks for popping in,

Lisa

Designer Ins[piration - Lisa Pate

Happy Monday !!

I'm finally started to feel settled in my new home and have almost a totally functioning and pretty creative space.  Shame the internet is STILL not working!

It's lovely to have lots of creative work to keep me busy (and I am probably keeping up better without the distraction of internet surfing!)

If you read my previous post you would know I had a rather large disaster with all of my old scrapbooks.  Rather than be sad and upset, I am pulling the photo's off and creating new layouts with older photo's.  Totally LOVING scrapping my babies again.

Using the gorgeous June Kit, I created a messy, fun layout of my youngest babe when she was oh so very little.

I will admit I have a *thing* for cutting up and pulling apart just about everything in the kit(as you can see by the quote sticker) .  I loved using some inks over the top of the stencil to give a background that wasn't perfect.

Hope you all have a wonderful, creative week.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Another to share..

Hi everyone,
I have another layout to share with you today using the latest CUPCAKE KIT.

This one is another bright one using lots of scraps of papers, the mask and stickers....

I have used some white cardstock and created a background with some watercolour paints and some machine stitching.
I then used strips of the various papers and a tag from the kit.To highlight the papers and give an arty feel I have gone over them with Faber castell gelatos.

A favourite in this kit were the stickers! I love using word stickers on my layouts just like here.

I have added interest with lots of stamping and some doodling with a mask.
You can also see above that I have used the Dina Wakely mask again with the Lindy's Stamp Gang mist.

Thanks for looking, happy creating , Eb x

She loves to read and tell a story too:)

Hi again everyone,
I am back to share another layout using the June Cupcake kit.

This layout is a photo of my daughter who LOVES
to read!! She is also a great, animated story teller and I really
wanted to document this aspect of her life.
Often when we go shopping and if she has some pocket money , more
often than not she goes straight for the book sections
in the stores.

I have like the last layout,
used a tag from the kit to highlight and frame my
Instagram photo.
I have used lots of different strips of the papers,
as well as the sticker sheet in the kit.
I have added some of my own washi tapes and a past kit flair.

I LOVE this mask so I used a yellow Faber Castell
gelato to add these words to my page.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you are enjoying your kit , Eb x

It's completely up to you...

Hi everyone!!

I am back to share a layout created using the latest cupcake kit!

I know I say it all the time but this kit is my favourite!!!!
I LOVE all the papers in it, the mask is my all time favourite and
the Lindy's Stamp gang mist is totally AWESOME!!
This is my first layout to share!

As always stitching and a mixed media type background onto
white cardstock.
I used the Dina Wakely mask with grey
Faber Castell gelatos as a feature on my background.

I then used the "NOTED" tag as the main feature
to highlight and frame my photo.
I have cut strips from the papers as well as small words
and used stickers from the sticker sheet to embellish
my layout.
And I LOVE the cherry fair!!!!!

I will be back again next week with another creation
to share! Thanks , Eb xx

Girly Fun....

Hi again everyone,
I have another layout to share using this month's cupcake kit.

This time I have used different sized strips of the various papers to create my background. I then used Faber Castell gelatos over them to highlight and give an arty feel.

I have also sewed over parts of my page and used a text stamp over the top of my papers.

I have used more of the papers as circles and other shapes. All the stickers are from the Echo Park sticker sheet including the title.

Thanks for popping by, Eb xx

Its child's play....

Hi everyone! I am here to share a layout created with this month's cupcake kit!

T
This kit was full of fun, bright papers and embellishments, including some awesome coloured wire by Prima.

This is not something I would usually scrap about but Maya's Furby's face is SO cute that I took some snaps on my Iphone! I then used an app called PicFX to add different effects to it.

In the kit is some Tim Holtz distress stain called "Evergreen bough". With this I began my layout by first adding gesso to white cardstock. I then used my Plastic mat to create a watercolour effect using this stain and some water. Once I am happy with the colour and consistency on my mat I simply use my cardstock to lay over this liquid and rub onto my cardstock.
I then used some yellow watercolour paint to add another dimension to my background.

To create the checkered look I drew the lines with a permaball pen and then using watercolour markers coloured in the squares. When finished I sprayed with some water and allowed the colours to drizzle down my page.

I used the Echo Park sticker sheet to add some words an the title, and I LOVED playing with these wires to create the word LOVE and a heart! They are really easy to manipulate to create words and shapes!

Hope you are enjoying your kit. I will be back to share more soon.

It's a boy thing....

Well this layout is anyway!! I have another layout to share with you today once again using the latest main kit.

I thought this kit was perfect for some boyish fun and this photo of Will and his bestie were perfect for the kit!

I knew when I first opened the kit I wold have to use this paper as a background! Just love it. I have again used various strips from the papers, the star vellum and some old dictionary to create interest and colour to my background. I have then just used various stamps randomly over my page to add more interest and depth.

All these embellishments worked so well from the stickers to the buttons to the flairs!! So easy to se and so effective!
I didn't really want the banner look from these My Minds eye chipboard pieces so I cut them down to resemble a tab instead!

Hope you are enjoying your kit! Won't be long til the next release :)

More Purple!

Hi everyone,
I have another layout to share with you using the latest cupcake kit!
And YES! it's another purple layout!!!!

This time I used a collage of the papers in the kit own the sides of my cardstock and then covered them with a light coating of white gesso.

I then used black cotton on the sewing machine over the top using both zigzag stitch and straight stitch.
I then used a mixture of stamps including Heidi Swapp and Prima to add interest to each side. I used Faber Castell gelatos to colour in my stamped squares.
I also used the purple Twinkling H20 with some water to drip down my sides as well as some watered down acrylic paint.

I used some purple spotted washi tape from my stash and the title is also some letters from my own supplies.

This collage technique is a great way to use up your scraps of paper and is so easy to do!

Designer - Gina Rodgers - Cards..

Hi everyone, I had lots of lovely bits and pieces left in my March Cupcake kit, so decided to make a set of cards with some of the left-overs..

I've used scraps from the Lemon Lush 6x6 papers along with Dear Lizzy stickers, Studio Calico alphas and some sequins.. Some gesso and mist over the paper adds an 'arty' feel and the thread and tiny fasteners add texture

Happy Easter everyone!
